On Rev. 2.1 Boards, the instructions on the web page are bass-ackwards. If you use the "Hit me baby" hole, you will receive:
.C3nZC3nZC3nWCND6DxPWCxnX.eWah.DG.
.C3nZC3nZC3nWCND6DxPWCxnX.eWah.DG.
.C3nZC3nZC3nWCND6DxPWCxnX.eWah.DG.
.C3nZC3nZC3nWCND6DxPWCxnX.eWah.Dq.
.C3nZC3nZC3nWCND6DxPWCxnX.eWah.Dq.

BUT.....
If you send +5v to the "blue dot" hole, you will get:
085391773726
085391773726
085391773726
085391773726
085391773726

(This happens to be the UPC for "The Matrix" DVD I had sitting here handy. :-) )

Wonder if between the time they made the Rev the original article was written to, and the time my wife picked this one up about 3 weeks ago at Radidio Shit:
1. someone who was doing the rev design read the article and changed the traces, or
2. if the original article author HERE was looking at the TOP of the board when he designated pins? (they are both 2 via's from each end of the row of pins.....).

Either way, I didnt blow up my keyboard port (while hitting the different via's to find the right one), and I have a fully functional bar-code scanner (I have a $200 (received as a "sample") pen in a box I never hooked up: Wasnt any fun, nothing to hack :-) )

As the SPCA says: "STOP THE KILLING!!! Spay/Neuter your pets!"

(we wouldnt want these things running around ferile, now would we??? lol)
