Like yourselves, I too was most dismayed to discover cd_load in my machine. I didn't find it quite the same way you did though. I frequently check my Task Menu to determine what is currently running and discovered it in that manner.

I read your article on cd_load and removed the files and modified my registry per your instructions. Voila! No more cd_load.

Here comes the surprise: when I later attempted to run Imesh, it came back with the error message "A required .DLL file, CD_CLINT.DLL, was not found." Sound familiar? That is precisely the name of one of the files we remove to rid ourselves of cd_load.

CONCLUSION: If you don't want infected with cd_load, don't use Imesh to share files.
